What’s on the easel? 2/16/18

This piece, (oil on canvas, 11×14) begun in December? is likely finished – the onion “model” definitely is finished, although the aging process is interesting, rotting from inside and surprisingly not smelly.

WIP – And here is my first self-portrait I’ve done in a while. Starting this past weekend, using a single mirror – painting with the overhead lights out, I’ve set up for some dramatic chiaroscuro – and will take advantage on the still dark evenings.

I sent a few paintings to the trash heap and worked on cleaning the studio while I have paintings out at the Landau Gallery and at Canvas Fine Art.

In other news, studio neighbor Jeanne Finnerty of Finnerty Design borrowed 2 paintings for a show house.
