Quick sketches from a picture perfect day on the Charles River

I was noodling tin my sketchbook for a couple hours while Boston came out to celebrate this very fine day.

What’s on the easel – fog Vermont style

From a photo I took – looking north along the Connecticut River in Brattleboro. Oil paint on linen, 20×24

What’s on my easel? Work in Progress

I was so happy with the first fog painting I thought I’d try scaling up with a variation. So far? Far too vibrant!

Seduced by the magic of North light.

This painting studio will work, and I love that it’s just a walk away from my place. New rhythms in my life, a calm retreat.

What’s on the easel

Works in progress

2 paintings of Boston statues 11×14; and 6×6 lemons – color strings exercise. The lemons are from life, the Boston Women’s statues started onsite but weather and time, and Yaz? From a photo 😱 Cold I can handle but cold and wet? Not this year.
