On the easel early April 2018

What a mixed bag – the crab apple branches are a WIP (work-in-progress). It is partially scraped down and I’ll see what happens next on the weekend. The threesome on the right all just got last dabs of highlights and are complete.

The piece with the bridge and bright green foliage (lower left) is from the Waltham Riverfest a few years back, not bad but not special, and it hung in a corner without inspiring me to put it in a frame.  I tried my “add big rock and big brushes” technique and see if I like it any better (Blondie was the go-to source of the day’s tunes.) I think that it helped.
