It’s been an interesting couple months, with adventures ranging from driving through the desert at dawn to an all day slog on the Mass Pike/NYS Thruway. Family time both in the southwest and in western NY. Even a High School reunion. My cultural life ranged from the Sante Fe Opera to the Alamogordo Community Theater who’s production of Mamma Mia! highlighted the best qualities of community arts. The enthusiasm of the guys in the chorus – young airmen from the local military base? – was so infectious! Now about the painting, well, it didn’t much happen. I didn’t think it really would – lots on my mind – these were complicated trips.
So I made it to my studio today, added a few tweaks to the already painted landscapes, and tried a simple still life setup – twice. I seem to no longer know how to paint. So much Cad Yellow wasted. But I’ll try again soon.
