First time out to paint this spring, trying out a newish easel at my favorite empty industrial park – yes, it’s 2020. Was close to finished and the wind blew everything over and smeared the painting. Nowhere to go but up! And good news? I can still zip up my painting jeans.

Terrific program at the MFA on Wednesday evenings – 3 hours (6-9pm) but drop in and leave as works for you) of drawing with a model in the galleries.
Beginning: cyclamen
Scaling up to a 24×24 canvas. I want a bit more freedom & broad strokes that can come with this scale. I will be limited to just daytime painting to add a bit of backlight.
